UserBuilders LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates VintOps (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Service, including our website, mobile web application, Chrome browser extension, and related features.

We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about our data practices. Please read this policy carefully.

1. Information We Collect

In the course of providing the Service, we may collect the following types of information:

Information You Provide Directly:

  • Account registration information (name, email address, profile photo via Google sign-in)
  • Item and listing details you create within the Service (descriptions, pricing, categories, brands, measurements)
  • Images you upload for visual search, image analysis, or studio image generation
  • Communications you send to us (support requests, feedback)

Information Collected Through AI-Powered Features:

  • Images submitted for AI analysis (brand identification, image generation, visual similarity ranking)
  • Listing data processed by AI to generate marketplace-optimized copy and pricing suggestions
  • Search queries and visual search results
  • AI-generated content (listing descriptions, studio images)

Information Collected Automatically:

  • Device and browser information (browser type, operating system, device type)
  • IP address and approximate location
  • Usage data (pages visited, features used, timestamps)
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 6)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely for the following purposes:

  • To provide and operate the Service — including processing visual searches, generating AI-powered listing copy, creating studio images, and enabling marketplace listing tools.
  • To maintain and improve the Service — including diagnosing technical issues, analyzing usage patterns, and enhancing performance and reliability.
  • To communicate with you — including responding to support requests, sending service-related notices, and providing account updates.
  • To ensure security — including detecting fraud, preventing abuse, and protecting the integrity of the Service.
  • To track usage — including monitoring API usage for cost management and service quality.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We do not use your data to train AI models. Your data is yours.

3. How We Share Information

We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services to operate the Service, including cloud hosting (Vercel), database services (Neon), authentication (Clerk), AI processing (Anthropic, Google), web search (SerpAPI), and web scraping (Tavily, Firecrawl). These providers process your information only as necessary to provide services to us and are bound by their respective privacy policies and data processing terms.
  • AI Processing: When you use AI-powered features, relevant data (such as images or listing text) is sent to third-party AI providers (Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini) for processing. This data is used solely to generate results for you and is subject to each provider's data processing policies.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. When you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required for legal, accounting, or compliance purposes.

Uploaded images and AI-generated images are stored for as long as your account is active. Search result data may be retained to improve your experience across sessions.

5. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, maintain your authentication session, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.

We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking purposes.

7. Chrome Browser Extension

Our Chrome browser extension (“VintOps — Marketplace Auto-Fill”) accesses marketplace websites (Poshmark, Depop, Vinted) solely to auto-fill listing information from your VintOps listing kits. The extension:

  • Only activates on supported marketplace listing pages
  • Does not collect browsing history or activity outside of supported marketplaces
  • Requires authentication with your VintOps account
  • Does not inject advertising or tracking scripts

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

  • Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: You may request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions.
  • Opt-Out: You may opt out of receiving non-essential communications from us at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information provided in Section 12 below. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

10. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including:

  • The right to know what personal information is being collected and how it is used.
  • The right to request deletion of your personal information.
  • The right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information.
